Hollywood in recent times is looking towards India for talented actors and atresses. Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Deepika Padukone, Randeep Hooda and our own Dhanush are some of the big names who have starred in mainstream Hollywood flicks. Now the latest to join the list is none other than the stunning Shruti Haasan the eldest daughter of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.
Shruti Haasan is in Athens, Greece to shoot for 'The Eye' a dark psychological thriller that has Mark Rowley in the lead. The film marks the debut of director Daphne Schmon and screenwriter Emily Carlton. The supporting cast has names such as Anna Savva, Linda Marlowe and Christos Stergioglou. The production house Fingerprint Content has on board as partner John Kerry the former US Secretary of State and Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.
Shruti is reportedly playing a woman who goes to a mysterious island to immerse the ashes of her dead husband not only discovers what caused his death but also is tempted to bring him back to life using a dark force. She shared on Twitter "FINALLY! So happy to share with all of you why I’m in Greece !! ?? super stoked to be a part of this special and exciting project"
Shruti is also the main female lead in 'Salaar' directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumar which is one of the most anticipated upcoming films in Indian cinema.
