Shruti Haasan has a lot to look forward to this coming week as her new movie 'Laabam' directed by the late S.P.Jhananathan and costarring Vijay Sethupathi is releasing on September 9th. It is well known that the socially conscious director always wrote strong female characters in his stories and Shruti is playing a maverick musician Clara in the film.

Meanwhile a senior actor cum journalist had recently stated on social media that Shruti Haasan has split from her boyfriend Shantanu Hazarika. The couple have been dating for close to a couple of years and fans of the star kid were shocked.

Shruti has given a strong reply to the reports by posting a pic with Shantanu and another friend and has written "When god sends angels...I am so blessed..thank you Shantanu". The message that is loud and clear to the false reports is that all is well between the love birds. She has also posted another stunning pic and has shared that among the many things 2020 taught her is the ability to shoot her own photos.

Shruti's next big-ticket project is the pan Indian actioner 'Salaar' that has Prabhas in the lead and is directed by Prashanth Neel of 'KGF' fame.
