The world has been caught in the grip of COVID 19 for over a year with millions of lives lost and many times that number infected. India too has its share of around one crore cases and at last vaccination is going to start from January 16th with around three crore health workers given first priority.

Meanwhile actress Shilpa Shirodkar has shared a photo of herself with a bandage on her hand and has shared "Vaccinated and safe! The new normal... here I come 2021. Thank you, UAE.". The actress who shared screenspace with Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan in 'Hum' released in 1991 lives in Dubai with her husband banker Aparesh Ranjit and their daughter. Her sister Namrata Shirodkar is married to Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu.

Shilpa Shirodkar who was one of the leading Bollywood heroines in the nineties got the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine which the UAE has approved and citizens have been given a shot from the last week of December.
