Actress working as COVID 19 nurse for past six months hospitalized after testing positive

The coronavirus that is having the world in its suffocating grip ever since it exploded in late March has claimed over one lakh lives in India. Many celebrities have come forward to help the society in this tough time such as Sonu Sood who has done exceptional service to migrant workers and students stranded abroad.

Actress Shikha Malhotra in March revealed that she is doing her bit for the society by turning a nurse. She posted " "For those who don't know that I am a #Registered #BscHonoursNurse from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical and #SafdarjungHospital Spending my five years. "So as you all have always appreciated my efforts my achievements this time need all of your support to #serve the #nation once again and this time I've decided to join the hospital in #mumbai for #covid19 #crisis. Always there to serve the country as a #Nurse as a #entertainer wherever however I can need your blessings please be at home be safe and support the government."

After serving COVID 19 patients for six months Shikha Malhotra herself has been infected by the virus and has been admitted to the hospital after testing positive. She has been given oxygen support and is recovering slowly.

Shikha has warned "So far no vaccine has been prepared for COVID19, so take care of yourself and your loved ones, wear masks, wash hands regularly, do not forget to use sanitiser.. Gratitude for infinite love and respect."

Shikha Malhotra has starred in the 2017 film 'Fan' with Shah Rukh Khan and is also into costume designing for films but left her passion behind to do her duties as a nurse during the pandemic.
