Popular actress Sharanya Sasi is in a critical condition and is awaiting seventh surgery on her brain for a recurring tumor. The actress who played the heroine in 'Pachai Engira Kaathu' and many serials in Tamil and Malayalam developed a tumor in her brain six years ago and successfully underwent surgery. She had then posted a video that she is fine but every year the disease has reportedly attacked her and has gone under the knife six times.

Actress Seema G Nair and social activist Sooraj Paalakkaran have posted videos asking for financial help for Sharanya and her husband Binu Xavier to meet the high expenses for the surgery. They have also emotionally stated that the 'Chotta Mumbai' actress could be paralysed on one side after the surgery.
