Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' took a grand opening on day on June 3rd and positive reviews and word of mouth has ensured that the coming days will be a killing at the box office. The Anirudh musical directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj also has the magical performances of Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya in a special appearance apart from almost the entire cast.

Meanwhile several top celebrities saw 'Vikram' on the first day and have shared their views. Ajith Kumar's wife Shalini Ajith and daughter Anoushka Ajith saw the film as well. A reporter asked for their opinion to which the former actress replied that they both hadnt yet watched the film. After the show the mother daughter duo left in their luxury car.

Kamal Haasan who also watched the same show later spoke to pressmen that in his entire life he has not seen such a big release and response for his film. He shared that three decades back after the original 'Vikram' he wanted to make this story as 'Hitlist' but the commercial directors of those time did not find the story viable but now one director (Lokesh Kanagaraj) wanted just that and he owned the story.
