Nayanthara and Samantha are two of the most alluring beauties who are rivals and contemporaries in the South Indian film industry. But their professional competitive environment does not stop them from bonding with each other. They have recently also shared screen space for the first time in 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' directed by Vignesh Shivan and costarring Vijay Sethupathi.

It was announced a couple of days back that the Tamil movie 'Koozhangal' ('Pebbles' in English) has been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars this year. Sam took to Insta stories and along with the poster of the film wrote "Big congratulations @wikkiofficial and Nayan. This is such mad news. Congratulations to the entire team. More power to you (sic)."

'Koozhangal' is directed by debutante P.S. Vinodraj with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under their banner Rowdy Pictures. The star couple have been aggressively taking the film to international film festivals where it has been unanimously lauded.
