Leading actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the list of actresses such as Silk Smitha, Khushbu and Nayanthara for whom fans showered so much love that they have built temples for them. One Tenali Sandeep has raised the shrine for Sam at Alapadu in Bapatla district of AP. He has also constructed a statue for his idol and will open it for public worship on April 28th when Samantha will be celebrating her 36th birthday. Samantha debuted as actress in 'Moscovin Kauvery' in 2010 but it was Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Ye Maaya Chesave' the Telugu remake of 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' that made her a big name in South Indian cinema. She later acted in several Tamil films with top heroes such as Vijay, Vikram, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan, Jiiva and Dhanush among others.
Samantha has been battling the auto immune disease, myositis but has bravely weathered it. She has recovered well enough to star in the international production 'Citadel' produced by The Russo Brothers and directed by Raj and DK and 'Arrangements of Love' apart from her Telugu film 'Kushi' starring Vijay Devarakonda.
