Samantha Ruth Prabhu one of the leading heroines of the South recently starred in the mythological movie 'Shaakuntalam' directed and produced by Gunasekhar. The film reportedly failed at the box office and was also panned by critics.

Veteran producer Chitti Babu in an interview to a leading news house reportedly stated "Samantha's days as heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom. She should continue her journey doing the offers she gets."

The producer then went on to allege that Samantha is trying to gain sympathy with her battle with myositis. He added “Every time sentiment will not work. If the role and film are good, people will watch. All these are cheap and insane acts. I wonder how Samantha, who lost her her heroine status, is suited for the role of Shakuntala. I do not have any interest in Shaakuntalam.”

Samantha known for taking on all types of attacks in her stride has apparently given a savage reply to Chittibabu. She has shared a screenshot of a google query about “How do people have hair growing from their ears…” The answer she got was about how increased testosterone leads to hair growth in ears. The 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' girl simply added the hashtag #iykwim (‘if you know what I mean).

Sam is currently shooting for The Russo Brothers Indian version of 'Citadel' webseries directed by Raj and DK and costarring Varun Dhawan. She is also in talks for few more movies as heroine in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
