Actress Samantha the favorite Chennai girl of Tamil and Telugu cinema has the full support of her fans as she goes through her divorce with actor Naga Chaitanya whom she married in 2017. They both jointly announced their separation and it has been reported that Sam's father Joseph Prabhu has stated that his mind has gone blank in shock after hearing the news.

Mr. Prabhu has also stated that he knew of the marital discord and was hoping that things would get better but it didn't. He however backed his daughter by saying that he was confident that she would have put in a lot of thought before making a decision.

Samantha has also showed signs of moving on from the unfortunate episode in her life and shared the same on social media. She wrote "about the things that I wanna do…If I wanna change the world…I should change myself…dreaming ‘about the things that I wanna do. I should make my bed. I should dust the shelf, shouldn't lie in the bed 'til the afternoon, dreamin' 'bout the things that I wanna do, mmm, mmm."

On the professional side Sam has two major films under production 'Shaakuntalam' in Telugu and 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' in Tamil. She is in talks for four more films and the announcements are expected very soon.
