Samantha Akkineni is in a zone of her own amongst the top heroines of South India and of late she is pretty choosy and ready to experiment. The first step in that direction is playing a negative character in the web series 'Family Man 2' which will of course stream in multiple Indian languages.

Samantha who is pretty outspoken has reportedly boldly expressed that female actors are paid way below their male counterparts in spite of their stature as box office draws. She has said that even the top three heroines get paid less than what a hero would get if he is in the twentieth position.

The pretty girl from Chennai also lamented that while heroes increase their remuneration in each film the heroines are not allowed to do so and if they did it is bound to cause issues in the industry. Sam feels that its a great injustice to women who put in as much hard work as their male costars.

Samantha is currently shooting for 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' directed by Vignesh Shivan in which Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi costar with Anirudh scoring the music.
