Samantha opens up about battling myositis and opinion on surrogacy in latest video

Top actress Samantha recently announced that she is suffering from a rare disease myositis, the symptoms of which is weak and aching muscles that affect day to day life. The fighter that she is the 35 year old dubbed for her latest film 'Yashoda' even as she was taking drips.

Now she has also pulled up her socks and has started giving promotional interviews for her upcoming film 'Yashoda' that deals with surrogacy. She stated in an exclusive interview to our IG Telugu YouTube channel “As I said in my post (Instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I’ve felt even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I’ve gone through so much and have come this far. I’m here to fight.” The pretty actress welled up with tears recollecting her suffering.

At the same time Samantha thankfully clarified “I want to clear one thing. I saw a lot of articles describing my condition as life-threatening. The stage I’m in, it’s not life-threatening. At the moment, I’m not dead yet. I don’t think those headlines were very necessary,” she said.

In 'Yashoda' releasing in Tamil and Telugu on November 11th Samantha is playing a surrogate mother. Hari and Harish of 'Ambuli' fame are jointly directing the film. The anchor pointed out about Nayanthara - Vignesh Sivan couple taking the surrogage route for the birth of their twins. The stunning actress who worked with the couple in 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' said that she is not judgemental about anything and if people are happy doing something like that they should do it.

When asked if the film is capitalizing on the sensation it created in Tamil Nadu, Sam replied "I did not do the 'Yashoda' because of the surrogacy issue becoming a hot topic in Tamil Nadu. On the contrary she accepted the film long back but will take it if the issue provides extra publicity for her film. Popular Malayalam hero Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar play important characters in the film.
