Sai Pallavi became a nationwide sensation after her adorable performance as Malar teacher in Alphone Putheren's 'Premam' starring Nivin Pauly, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshwaran. She then gained huge fan following in Telugu and is one of the most sought after heroines in Tollywood and in Tamil too she has broken all previous records with her unique dance moves with Dhanush in the "Rowdy Baby" son in 'Maari 2'.

Though 'Premam' was the acting debut of Sai Pallavi she has shared that she already faced the camera as a child artiste in Jayam Ravi's 'Dhaam Dhoom' directed by the late cinematographer turned director Jeeva.

The story predominantly was set in Russia but in the flashback portions in Pollachi heroine Kangana Ranaut appeared as a village girl and it is in her portions Sai Pallavi acted while she was studying in the sixth standard in her hometown Coimbatore.
