Roja hospitalized after opposing a political sex crime racket

Actress turned politician Roja who is an M.L.A. aligned to the Y.S.R. Congress was suspended from the Andhra assembly for a year due to her anti Chandra Babu Naidu stand. A few days back she was forcefully arrested by the police for stepping into the assembly causing her to faint and being hospitalized.

Roja has now alleged that councilors and members of the Telugu Desam party are involved in the ‘Kanthu vatti’ (unreasonable interest rates) business in the Vijayawada region and when people are not able to pay, wives and daughters are abducted and subject to sexual violations and later blackmailed with videos of the offenses. Roja has stated that she had personally opposed the criminals and that is why the opposition fearing that the party image will be tarnished, have unleashed a political vendetta on her.
