Rashmika Mandanna who made her debut with the Kannada film 'Kirik Party' however gained pan Indian fame after starring in 'Geetha Govindam' directed by Parushuram. Vijay Deverakonda played the male lead and the impeccable chemistry between the lead pair became the talk of tinsel town.

Post 'Geetha Govindham', Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starred in a few more films together and they sizzled on the screens as a pair. Naturally rumours started that the duo are dating and from time to time fans deduct from their foreign vacation photos that they often are staying in the same hotel. They are also frequently caught by shutterbugs during their dinner dates.

Both the dashing stars are busy with their own projects and have seldom responded to the rumours surrounding them. Meanwhile VD and Rash caught up with each other along with director Parushuram on the fifth anniversary of 'Geetha Govndam' on August 15th. Fans are not only unanimous in demanding that Vijay and Rashmika date in real life they also are asking for 'Geetha Govindfham 2'. Rashmika is currently starring in Ranbhir Kapoor's 'Animal' and has signed on to play Dhanush's pair in 'D51' directed by Sekhar Kammula.
