Actress Rashmika Mandanna who celebrated her birthday on April 5th recieved a huge treat as it was officially announced that she is the heroine of Vijay in 'Thalapathy 66'. The national crush who turned 26 yesterday gushed "There we have it. can’t believe this is happening but soooo kicked about this."

'Thalapathy 66' was not the only announcement on the bubbly actress's big day as the motion poster of one more film of hers was unveiled. The poster of the tentatively titled 'Lieutenant Ram' shows Rashmika as a muslim girl Afreen and she is seen wearing a red hijab that has gone viral on the internet.

'Lieutenant Ram' has Dulquer Salmaan playing the lead and it is his second Telugu movie after 'Mahanati'. The film which has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. There is a strong Tamil connection with Vishal Chandrasekhar scoring the music and P. S. Vinod serving as D.O.P. Its nearing completion and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi soon.
