Husband and friend arrested in actress Raima murder case

The husband of a popular actress has been arrested for murdering her in cold blood, mutilating her body into pieces and disposing it off in sacks. Raima Islam Shimu was a well known actress in Bangladeshi cinema who acted in over 25 films and tele serials as well.
The 45 year old went missing a few days back and her family lodged a complaint at the Kalabagan Police Station on January 16th. Getting a tip that a blood stained sack was spotted under a bridge in Keraniganj, Dhaka on January 17th the police retrieved it. The relatives identified that it is indeed the actress.
The cops investigated and arrested Shakhawat Ali Nobel the husband of Raima and his friend Abdullah Farhad who confessed that they were involved in the murder. While a few reports in the Bangla media suggest that the motive was due to marital discord others point to an influential actor behind the issue. The investigations are going on in full swing.
