The season six of 'Bigg Boss Tamil' began from October 9th onwards and is airing at 10 pm everyday on Vijay TV and a 24/7 version is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. Twenty contestants including a few non celebrities are vying for the title this year with a few already emerging as favorites such as G. P. Muthu, Janani, Ayesha and Rachitha.

Rachitha Mahalakshmi as everyone knows made a big splash in the Tamil television industry by playing the title role in 'Saravanan Meenatchi' season two opposite Kavin, also an ex Big Boss contestant. She later acted as the heroine in a few films including 'Uppu Karuvadu' and popular serials 'Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar Season 2', 'Amman 1 & 2', 'Sembaruthi', 'Idhu Solla Marandha Kadhai', and 'Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal'.

Rachitha who hails from Bengaluru while working in her debut Tamil serial 'Pirivom Santhipom' a decade earlier fell in love with her costar Dinesh who play the male lead. The couple after several years of dating tied the knot in 2015. However they hit a rough patch in their domestic life and have been living separately for the past couple of years.

Rachitha did not mention anything about Dinesh during her entry on 'Bigg Boss Tamil 6' indicating that the marriage is over on her side. Dinesh in his recent interviews had expressed hope that time will heal the misunderstandings and the couple may get together.

Dinesh has won the admiration of his fans for posting on Instagram a positive message to his estranged wife "Congrats and wish you all success in 'Bigg Boss 6'...keep winning more and more hearts'.
