Popular actress Rachita Ram in trouble for speaking about ‘First Night’

Controversies and celebrities go hand in hand as every word they speak and every move they make is watched with eagle eyes by the media and the culture police as well.  The latest high profile actress to face the music is none other than Sandalwood’s leading heroine Rachita Ram.

During the promotional event of her new movie ‘Love you Rachchu’ a journalist posed the question to the Rachita why she did the bold scenes in the upcoming movie.  The ‘Dimple Queen’ as she is fondly called by her fans quickly stated there are many married people in the hall (journalista) and that her intention is not to embarass them.  She then asked them in jest “What people do after marriage? What do they do?”.

There was stunned silence and before the journalist who asked her the question could gather his wits Rachita quipped  “They will romance, right? That’s what is being shown in the film.”  The actress’s fans supported her clever reply but it has irked a fringe political group.

The Kannada Kranthi Dal leader Tejasvi Nagalingaswamy has demanded a public apology from Rachita for damaging the image of Karnataka and for being ignorant of the culture of the land.

Rachita Ram apart from ‘Love You Rachchu’ has close to a dozen movies in hand namely ‘100’, ‘Super Machi’, ‘Monsoon Raaga’,  ‘Ek love ya’, ‘Bad Manners’, ‘Seere’,
‘Shabari Searching For Ravana’ , ‘Love Me Or Hate Me’, ‘Daali’, ‘Pankaja Kasthuri’, ‘Kranthi’ and ‘Pantha’.

Rachita Ram is the younger sister of famous South Indian television actress Nithya Ram of ‘Nandhini’ fame.
