Priya Bhavani Shankar pays rich tribute to Ki Ra

The legendary Ki Rajanarayanan one of the most celebrated and prolific Tamil writers in the modern era passed away at the age of 98 due to age-related issues. Political leaders including Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, MNM leader Kamal Haasan and veteran actor Sivakumar were among those who expressed their condolences on social media and also paid tributes to the Sahitya Academy Award Winner.

Young actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has also paid rich tribute to Ki Ra writing in Tamil "For fourteen years I was tamed to think in English studying in a school where students were fined for speaking in Tamil. Ki Ra was introduced to me by a private librarian who recommended reading his novel 'Gopala Gramam'. His short stories embedded in me many worlds that I have never lived in. Writers never die. Even now he makes me smile. What a fulfilled life."

Priya Bhavani Shankar one of the if not the busiest actress in Tamil cinema has a lineup of almost a dozen films in hand including Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar, 'Bommai' with S.J. Suryah, 'Kurudhi Aattam' with Atharvaa, 'Oh Mana Penney' with Harish Kalyan, 'Hostel' with Ashok Selvan, Arun Vijay-Hari project and 'Pathu Thala' costarring Simbu and Gautham Karthik.
