Priya Bhavani Shankar reveals her mother's cancer battle to give hope to patients

Priya Bhavani Shankar's emotional speech regarding her mother's cancer diagnosis has shocked her fans. The well-known South Indian actress and television presenter, attended an event to celebrate World Rose Day in which she made the revelation in hope of inspiring others
Priya Bhavani Shankar, who worked as a newsreader, turned actress through the television serial 'Kadhal Mudhal Kalyanam Varai' which brought her widespread fame. She then debuted in the film 'Meyadha Maan' directed by Rathnakumar and produced by Karthik Subbaraj which also was a super hit.
Following that, Priya Bhavani Shankar, became one of the busiest actresses around and played the heroine in various hit films like 'Kadaikutty Singam', 'Monster', 'Mafia', 'Oh Manappenne' and 'Yaanai' among others. She is currently playing lead roles in several films including 'Indian 2', 'Demandi Colony 2' and Vishal-Hari project.
Priya Bhavani Shankar was the special guest at the World Rose Day event celebrated by Apollo Cancer Center at Taj Hotel, Nungambakkam, Chennai to inspire those fighting against cancer. It was then that the busy actress revealed about her mother also being a cancer survivor.
Priya explained that her mother was diagnosed with cancer last year and that it is completely curable if detected at an early stage. The actress continued that she used to often tell her mother that she would get well soon, and luckily she got curred. Those present were shocked to Priya shedding tears on the stage. She went on to give a lot of encouragement to the cancer patients to take heart and fight and win the dreaded disease.
