Priya Bhavani Shankar is the busiest young leading lady in Tamil cinema who is part of such big films as 'Indian 2', 'Vaan', 'Bommai', 'Kasada Thapara', 'Kalathil Santhippom' and 'Kurudhi Aattam'.  She is also in talks for yet to begin films with Vishal, Harish Kalyan and a female-centric project.

Priya who is also very proficient in Tamil posted on her Instagram her anguish over the deaths of migrant workers who are on foot to reach their hometowns in various parts of India.  She has asked the government that instead of  asking people to clap hands or showering flowers on coronavirus warriors it should take steps to aide the sufferers which is more important than trying to revive the economy.  She warned that the tears of the suppressed will demolish any strong castle.

Priya's post has received widespread praise from her followers but one lady used parliamentary language to criticize her and fans attacked her in kind.  But Priya showed her strong cultural ethics by asking her supporters to desist from stoop to cheap levels.

Priya's post reads "I noticed, a lady had trouble with an actor having an opinion about current issues and I hope I responded to her in a mannered way. Sharing my regards to people who responded to her with their civilised opinions. And i really DO NOT want people using their filthy language on another person even in support to me. It is NOT OK to verbally degrade someone to shut their opinion and to drive them out. We don’t deserve to have an opinion if we can not express it in a civilised way. thank you! Peace"

Now this is one young star who has her heart and her head in the right place and Priya sure has the guts to speak her mind is what netizens are talking about the pretty heroine.
