Priya Bhavani Shankar who started her career as a newsreader later on starred in a serial tasting instant success and then made a smooth transition to the big screen with 'Meyadha Maan' directed by Rathna Kumar and produced by Karthik Subbaraj.

Priya is now one of the if not the busiest leading ladies in Kollywood with a super impressive lineup of big films including Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar, 'Bommai' with S.J. Suryah, 'Oh Mana Penney' with Harish Kalyan, 'Vaan' with Dulquer Salmaan and an untitled film with Ashok Selvan. There are at least half a dozen projects that will be announced in 2021 as well.
