In a recent case of unfortunate events, popular actress Poonam Pandey has turned out to be a victim of domestic abuse. Her husband Sam Bombay has been arrested by Mumbai police after he allegedly assaulted his wife. Poonam has reportedly sustained severe injuries on her head, eyes and on her face. She filed an official police complaint before getting admitted into a hospital.

News outlet ANI reported, "The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face." Poonam and Sam got married last year in September after seeing each other for about two years. The couple were in a live in relationship before finally tying the knot together.

However, their married wasn't happy for long as Sam assaulted Poonam just few days after the wedding. However, Poonam forgave him and shrugged off the matter by stating, "which marriage does not have its ups and downs.” As of this time, Poonam told Spotboye, "I got beaten up very badly this time, it was a half murder. I don’t know for how many days I was in the hospital.”

"Because he is just crying in front of me and I really don’t know what to do? Every time he just beat me up and later starts crying saying sorry. This time also he did the same and promised it will not happen again and I will treat you good. But this is something he keeps doing always. Because of him I got a brain haemorrhage," she added.
