'Naan Kadavul' actress Pooja reveals her real age and says she is too old to act again

Actress Pooja Umashankar was spotted by the late cinematographer turned director Jeeva who cast her as an Anglo Indian girl in 'Ullam Ketkume' which was long delayed. It was 'Jay Jay' in which she starred alongside Madhavan in a supporting role that released first in 2003.
Pooja then got the chance to act as heroine opposite Ajith Kumar in 'Attakasam' and thereafter starred in a number of memorable films including 'Jithan', 'Pattiyal', 'Thambi', 'Pori', Pushkar-Gayatri's 'Oram Po' and Bala's 'Naan Kadavul'.
Pooja got married to Sri Lankan businessman Prashan David Vethakan and converted to Christianity and is now very much involved in preaching about Jesus Christ. The couple have a daugter and are settled in Colombo.
A fan of Pooja posted photos of the actress on Twitter and tagged her writing the famous 'Vikram' lines "One upon a time there lived a ghost". Pooja replied to him with positive emojis. The user then wrote "Hi akka im ur big fan ur acting in naan kadavul Is so hard hitting u deserve national award for that role" to which the talented former actress thanked him.
Another user asked Pooja to make a comeback to films and she replied "Aiyoo... Too old now da. 44 years aiyidachi. Comebackna, Chitthi role than pannanum.". The actress whose last film in Tamil was the critically acclaimed 'Vidyum Munn' also informed that she is too busy to handle her social media and thanked a friend for alerting her about the post on her.
