Pooja Hegde the top leading lady of Telugu and Bollywood films is the most recent high-profile celebrity to test positive for the coronavirus. She broke the news on social media writing “This is to inform you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have isolated myself and home quarantined. I request all those who have come in contact with me recently to get tested too,”

Pooja has added "Thank you for your love and support. I am currently recuperating well. Please Stay Home. Stay Safe and Take Care". The pretty actress was shooting for Megastar Chiranjeevi's new movie 'Acharya' and incidentally Sonu Sood her costar in the film also tested positive a few days back.

Pooja Hegde is the heroine of the upcoming biggie 'Thalapathy 65' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The shooting of the film started in Georgia, the USA on April 7th and was wrapped up on the 23rd. The schedule only had Thalapathy Vijay participating and Pooja was set to join in the next leg that was scheduled to begin on May 3td in Chennai.
