Actress Parvathy to enter politics?

Be it calling out the misogyny and patriarchy in the Malayalam film industry or making bold comments on political and social issues in the country, actress Parvathy is one of the very few artists who dare to voice her stance without hesitation.

According to the latest buzz, the Mollywood diva is likely to get a ticket to Kerala politics by contesting in the upcoming state assembly polls. Several reports have surfaced online that the actress will contest as a Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate. It is reported that the LDF party had been holding discussions with the actor, trying to convince her to contest in the upcoming assembly polls as she would pull young votes for the alliance.

While the news has already spread like a forest fire on social media, Parvathy Thiruvothu has refuted reports. Denying the reports in an interview with TNM, the actress said that she has no intention to contest in the election for now. The news is completely baseless. I have no intention of contesting elections and no one is in talks with me. I am very happy in the space that I am in,” Parvathy clarified.

At the same time, it is confirmed that actors Mukesh and Ganesh Kumar will contest the polls as LDF candidates.
