Actress Parvathy makes an appeal to Keralites

On Monday, Mollywood star Parvathy Thiruvothu took to her social media handle to protest over the decision to conduct Thrissur Pooram amid COVID-19. Urging people to say no to the festival celebration, the actress shared a post of a journalist named Shahina through her Instagram stories.“Find some humanity within yourselves,” she appealed in the Instagram story.
"Whose festival is pooram? It’s a men’s festival. A confluence of men from different communities. These men after getting the virus from the Pooram grounds and will later give them to women and children in their homes,” — was the Instagram post of the woman journalist which was shared by Parvathy.
Apart from sharing an open letter to Dr. Vishwas Mehta, the principal secretary of Kerala to stop Thrissur Pooram, the actress also requested all to take part in the online movement.
