Kollywood actress Parvathy Nair, who has also been a model, has been accused by a male person of abusing her in the past. A police inquiry was done recently after the allegation surfaced. It was found out that Parvathy is innocent. However, a section of the media has been carrying out reports against the actress, quoting the accuser without substantiation.

Parvathy on Saturday issued a statement saying that she will file defamation suits against the media houses, including digital and social, if they publish spurious, unverified and malicious information against her.

Here is what the lawyer's notice affirms: "The allegations made against my client have no shred of truth and are intended to defame her. My client reliably understands that the said person, out of spite, alleged that he was assaulted. The complaint was closed after preliminary enquiry."

The said person, as per the actress, was working in her household and is accused of stealing expensive gadgets from her place.

The media houses have been asked to retract the reports that mention malafide information against the actress.
