Oviya has a lot of hit movies to her credit including 'Kalavani', 'Kalakalappu' and 'Yaamirukka Bayamen' but more than that her stint on 'Bigg Boss' season one hosted by Kamal Haasan won her many fans. The Oviya Army is very much active on social media in spite of three years since the completion of the reality show and the actress not doing any movies of note in this period.

Meanwhile Savni a young hardcore fan of Oviya had passed away due to unknown reasons and her friends brought the news to the actress's notice on Twitter. The wrote that the girl used to be an admin of a Oviya social media fan club and used to say that she wanted to meet her in person before she dies. Her last post was also promoting Oviya's upcoming film trailer which released just a few hours earlier.

Oviya 's currently doing a web series titled 'Merlin' and is also in talks for a few more films and on all platforms which is expected to be announced soon.
