The ‘Kannum Kannum’ girl Udayathara is in the centre of controversy now. A section of media carried reports that she would marry director Thirumalai, who directed her for ‘Thee Nagar’.

An angry Udayathara denied reports appeared in the media on her “affair” with director Thirumalai. She also alleged that it was the director who had given the “false news” to the media.

'It is all concocted and there is no iota of truth in it'.

'He was my good friend. It is rather unfortunate that he is spreading wrong news about me. If he continues the same act, I will file a complaint against him in the directors' association,' said Udayathara.

On his part, Thirumalai said, 'I am not involved in the controversy. I wonder why my name was dragged into the whole issue. I would meet her soon to explain. I assume people close to her had spread false news about us'.
