The newspapers are always filled with reports of young people running away from their homes for one reason or the other. Some celebrities too have done the same and young actress Nirisha Basnett has revealed in a recent interview that since her childhood she nursed dreams of becoming an actress and ran away from home.

Nirisha hails from Kathmandu in Nepal and was bitten by the acting bug she apparently landed in Mumbai with no contacts and very little savings. She then went through tough times but bagged the role of Chithra in the movie 'Ziddi Dil Maane Na'. Those who have seen the film have appreciated her grounded performance and she is now on cloud nine.

'Ziddi Dil Maane Na' also stars Shaleen Malhotra, Kunal Karan Kapoor, Kaveri Priyam and Diljot Kaur. Speakng to IT Basnett gushed that "“A lot of things about Chitra resemble my persona. She is bubbly, cheerful, loud, expressive and colourful. That's exactly me. Therefore, I don't have to work a lot to get into the skin of my character. I end up having such easy and fun time on the set and the shoot goes really smooth minus any stress.
