Film assistant director Gandhi Lalithkumar on Monday committed suicide by setting himself on fire after accusing actress Nilani of promising to marry him and later refusing to do so.  When cops went to Nilani's house in Valasaravakkam to inquire only her children were there and news broke out that she is absconding.

Nilani has given a petition to the Chennai Police Commissioner stating that she has nothing to do with Gandhi's suicide and that he exhibited psycopathic behaviour and thats why she rejected his marriage proposal after several complaints to the police.

Nilani has further made the shocking revelation that Gandhi Lalithkumar was a womanizer and had gone to jail several times in this regards and in one such incident he had lost his manhood when electric shock was administered on him at a cell.  She has claimed that he used to scorch her body with a burning cigarette and is ready to show the scars to the police.

In the press meet Nilani also said that Gandhi for the past two months had made life miserable for her by threatening to kill her and for the past one week stated that he would take his own life.
