Actress Nikhila Vimal's father passed away

South Indian actress Nikhila Vimal's father, M R Pavithran, died on Wednesday. The 61-year-old, who was undergoing treatment for coronavirus at Pariyaram Medical College, passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest. The cremation will be held on Thursday.

Pavithran was retired from Statistical Department and had also served as the state joint secretary and district secretary of CPI(ML).

Nikhila Vimal is one of the popular young actresses in South Indian cinema. She stepped into cinema with the 2009 Malayalam flick ‘Bhagyadevatha’. She shot to fame with her lead character in 'Love 24x7' and 'Njan Prakashan'. Nikhila Vimal has also stepped in Tamil and Telugu movies. She played one of the lead roles in Karthi's Thambi.

Nikhila Vimal will be next seen in the Mammootty-starrer ‘The Priest’. She is essaying a pivotal character in the movie alongside Manju Warrier.
