The second wave of COVID 19 has taken the whole of India by storm and yesterday alone there were 2,67,334 new cases and 4,529 deaths which is the highest to date. There is also the positive data that 3,89,851 discharges also took place in the last 24 hours as per Health Ministry.

The emphasis now is not only on wearing masks and double masks, maintaining social distancing and washing hands regularly but also getting vaccinated. Celebrities are taking their jab in more numbers to inspire their fans too to do the same.

On Tuesday, the Lady Superstar Nayanthara and her long-time beau Vignesh Shivan got their first dose of vaccine at a private hospital in Chennai. The 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' director captioned the photos with an appeal to fans "Please please get vaccinated...Stay safe, stay indoors".

Vicky and Nayan are halfway through with the shooting of their new movie 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' costarring Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi. They are also collaborating in the production and distribution of new movies that include 'Rocky' and 'Koozhangal' under their banner Rowdy Pictures.
