In the Tamil film world both superstars Ajith and Nayanthara have been known to avoid promotional events of the film they are acting in. They made sure that a clause regarding that is a part of the contracts that they signed. While Ajith has been sticking to this policy for almost two decades, Nayanthara only took such a decision in recent years.
In the past couple of years Nayanthara has promoted some of her films such as 'Aramm' and 'Kolamavu Kokila'. In spite of getting married and becoming a new mom to twins this year she has given her best promotions for her just released 'Connect' which she also produced along with her husband Vignesh Shivan.
Nayanthara explained 'In the early films I acted in, the heroine's character was not important. It was a period when the actresses were simply asked to sit on stage. People used to speak about them just for the sake of it that will not help the film in any way. That's why I avoided promotional events."
The lady superstar added "Nowadays more heroine-oriented films are coming and directors and producers are making heroine-oriented films and now there is more meaning in me promoting the films".
'Connect' produced by Rowdy Pictures is directed by Ashwin Saravanan and stars Nayanthara, Vinay Rai, Haniya Nafiz, Sathyaraj and Anupam Kher.
