Actress Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan have been embroiled in controversy after the latter announced on October 9th that they have become happy parents of twin sons. The couple who were dating for several years got married just four months back and questions were raised about childbirth so quickly.

It was then debated on social media that Vicky and Nayan gave birth through surrogacy by adapting illegal means but they did not clarify on that. Further a complaint was lodged with the government and a three member committee started an inquiry for discrepancies if any.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan submitted legal documents to prove that they had married six years back and registered it with the registrar of marriages. Further documents were provided that the couple signed the surrogacy agreement in December 2021 and not after their public marriage on June 9th which would have been illegal. Following this the surrogacy row over the star couple has come to an end according to legal sources.
