Actress Nandita Swetha made her Tamil cinema debut with the film "Attakathi" directed by Pa. Ranjith and achieved instant stardom portraying a rural college girl. She followed it with a stunning performance as "Kumudha" opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the super hit film "Ithakuttano Aasippattai Balakumara".

Nandita has since starred in several hit films including Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ethir Neechal', the comedy caper 'Mundasupatti' and a solid central role in 'Uppu Karuvadu' directed by Radha Mohan. She appeared in a small role in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Puli' that she accepted because of her desire to work with him.
