Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu, two of the biggest stars in South Indian cinema are also very good friends. Recently it was proved once again when the Tamil mass hero accepted the Green India challenge of the Telugu superstar and planted saplings in his premises. The delighted fans of both the charismatic entertainers trended it high on all social media platforms.

Mahesh Babu met actress Namrata Shirodkar during the making of their film 'Vamsi' in 2000 and it was love at first sight and they tied the knot in 2005. The happy couple have two children Gautam Krishna and daughter Sitara.

A super interesting trivia is that Namrata Shirodkar was the first choice for the leading lady in Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster hit film 'Thirumalai' directed by Ramana that released in 2003. The former Miss India shot for a few scenes but opted out due to creative differences. Jyothika stepped in for her second film with Vijay and needless to add that she is the wife of Suriya also a close buddy of the Thalapathy.

Mahesh Babu's current film under production is 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' directed by Parasuram which has Keerthy Suresh as his leading lady. Thalapathy Vijay is shooting for 'Beast' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures in which Pooja Hegde is his pair.
