Actress and male friend arrested in their five star hotel room at 3 am

A South Indian actress and her male friend were arrested by Santacruz Police on Sunday early morning 3. am for allegedly consuming 'charas rolled in a cigarette'. She was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
In the Indian Penal Code and the NDPS act, a person is prohibited from the production/manufacturing/cultivation, possession, sale, purchasing, transport, storage, and/or consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance.
The actress who has been identified as Naira Shah who has acted in a few Telugu films and her male friend Ashiq Sajid Husain was charged for consumption of the drug.
Police alleged that Naira Shah was celebrating her birthday at the JW Marriott hotel, located in Juhu, Santa Cruz, Mumbai. After the party, she and Hussein went to their suite and they reportedly had one gram of charas on them. The police sprung into action after they received a tip-off about alleged drug consumption.
Dnyaneshwar Ganore, senior inspector of Santacruz police station shared to the media, "The room was raided at 3 am and we found the duo in possession of one gram of Charas, rolled into cigarettes, they were produced before a local magistrate court and granted bail.".
