Actress Mrudula Murali who got engaged to her longtime lover Nithin Vijay in December 2019 had to postpone her wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. After a long wait the couple got married on Thursday with several celebrities and family members in attendance.

Actresses Bhavana, Remya Nambesan, Sayanora Phillip Saranya Mohan and Vijay Yesudas were among those who attended in person and shared their joy with the couple. Mrudula speaking to presspersons stated that she is very happy to enter married life with Nithin Vijay who is an ad filmmaker and assistant director and also said that she would continue acting.

Mrudula Murali who has done several Malayalam films is also very popular in Tamil after featuring in Ilayaraja's music album and playing the lead heroine in Manivannan's 'Nagaraja Cholan MLA' and 'Maniyaar Kudumbam' released in 2018 in which she played the pair of Umapathy Thambi Ramaiah.
