One of the major threats to society is the increase in the availability of drugs which turns youngsters into mere vegetables when they become addicted to them. The Mumbai police have arrested fitty-year-old Dr. Reza Bohrani who is accused of running a drug racket in the city supplying LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) a recreational substance that is banned in the country.
Bohrani who runs Cannabis Health & Sciences Private Limited is said to belong to an international drug cartel that illegally smuggles the banned substances into India. A shipment worth rupees one crore has been seized which was planned to be supplied to celebrities and rich people for recreational usage. Reza Bohrani is the husband of popular model and actress Tora Khasgir but so far no role of her in the racket has been unearthed.
