Film industry insiders always say that if an actress has the right contacts she can make it big in the glamour world irrespective of whether she has the talent or not. Zee News has made one such expose that Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has been in a relationship with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

According to the report the actress now 37 was little known in the Pakistan entertainment industry but she caught the eye of Ibrahim who is based in Karachi when she did an item number in a film

From then on there was no looking back for Mehwish Hayat as she has starred in a number of films including 'Load Wedding', 'Punjab Nahi Jaungi' and 'Actor in Law'. The don even used his influence in the ruling government of Pakistan headed by Imran Khan to bestow on his girl friend a high civilian award 'Tamgha-e-Imtiaz'. The actress aged 37 is 27 years younger than the don.

Dawood Ibrahim is India's most wanted fugitive criminal for masterminding the serial bomb blasts that rocked Mumbai in 1993. He has since fled the country and is operating his nefarious activities from Karachi.
