Actress Mehreen Pirzada, who has appeared in several Telugu, and Hindi, films made her debut in Tamil with 'Nenjil Thunivirundhaal' directed by Suseenthiran and was also the pair of Vijay Devarakonda in his Tamil debut 'NOTA' directed by Anand Shankar. Her most notable appearance in Kollywood was in Dhanush's 'Pattas.' in which she played his love interest.
Mehreen announced her engagement to politician Bhavya Bishnoi in March during the lockdown. Their wedding was set to happen later this year but for some reason, the couple has decided to call it off.
Mehreen to social media and wrote "Bhavya Bishnoi and I have decided to break off our engagement and not go ahead with the wedding. It's a decision that has been taken amicably and in the best interest. With respect in my heart, I would like to say that from now on I have no further association with Bhavya Bishnoi or any of his family members or friends."
The pretty actress added "This is the only statement I will be making regarding this and I hope that everyone respects my privacy as this is a very private matter. Meanwhile, I will continue to work and am looking forward to giving my best in my future projects and performances.
Bhavya is the grandson of Bhajan Lal, who served as Haryana's Chief Minister three times under the Congress administration. His father, Kuldeep Bishnoi, is a Haryana MLA from the Adampur seat. Bhavya is also actively involved in politics.
