Actress Meera Mitun has done small roles in a few films such as '8 Thottakkal' and 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' apart from modelling and participating in beauty pageants. She gained some limelight through the reality show 'Jodi Number One' season 8 in which she was ejected and later had a controversial 35 days stay on 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan.
After her 'Bigg Boss 3' stint Meera was embroiled in several controversies one of which was her social media attack on top stars such as Suriya, Jyothika, Vijay and Kamal Haasan. She was however arrested when she made derogatory remarks on the scheduled caste people.
Meera after her release from the jail got the chance to act in a new movie titled 'Peya Kaanom' (Ghost goes missing) in which she is playing the title role. The director of the film Selva Anbarasan has alleged that the final schedule of shooting was going on in Kodaikanal and Meera suddenly absconded.
He has further stated that six assistants who came with Meera Mitun also are missing and they have taken their belongings from the hotel room they were staying. Anbarasan claims that there are only two days work left and Meera has caused great financial loss to the producer and that he will lodging a complaint against her with all organizations of the film industry.
