Meera Mithun the self-proclaimed supermodel has acted in small roles in a few movies namely Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' and '8 Thottakkal'. She gained some limelight through the 'Bigg Boss 3' reality show hosted by Kamal Haasan and ever since has been constantly raising controversies on social media.
Meera Mithun among other things has accused leading South Indian actresses of copying her style, Superstars Vijay and Suriya of nepotism and grabbing her fame and most recently targetted the young breakout singer Dhee of 'Rowdy Baby' and 'Enjoy Enjaami' fame.
Meera in a recent interview claimed that the people belonging to the scheduled castes are involved in illegal activities and that's why they are facing outrage from the public. She further rambled that a film director belonging to a Paraiyar community stole the first look of her film and used derogatory words against him. She finished off her verbal diarrhea by saying those film directors belonging to backward communities should be chucked out of the film industry.
Many social and political activists demanded action against the small-time actress on social media by sharing the video. The Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalan demanded that she be booked under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Following a complaint by the VCK and other outfits, the cybercrime police have now booked Meera Mithun under 7 sections. Since the charge against her is serious and evidence strongly it is said that the controversial attention seeker is in deep trouble with the law this time.
