'Anbe Aaruiyire' actress Nila's dad threatened with knife and robbed in police colony

The coronavirus lockdown may have forced most people confined to their houses but for those involved in illegal activities, it is business as usual. On Tuesday actress Nila's dad was robbed in plain daylight that too in the capital city of Delhi that has shocked many.
Nila whose real name is Meera Chopra is a cousin of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Parneeti Chopra and this morning she posted the shocking news on Twitter "Delhi Police - my dad was taking a walk in the police colony. 2 guys came in a scooter, showed knife and snatched his phone. This is how safe you claim Delhi to be?
The cops responded immediately and Meera shared the FIR number "Fir no: NWD-MT-000568 at prince road near pcr police line, model town. Can send you the contact number in direct msg or some email" There was apparently very swift action by the cops as a delighted Meera was back posting some good news.
Meera a while later wrote "Thanks @DcpNorthDelhi for such a quick action. Makes me proud when we feel protected by our police department. It's never about what has been snatched but protecting our elders is most important! Respect @DelhiPolice (sic),"
Nila aka Meera Chopra made her acting debut in S.J. Suryah's romantic comedy 'Anbe Aaruyire' and later starred in many hit films including 'Maruthamalai', 'Kaalai' and 'Isai'.
