Actress Madhoo made her acting debut in K. Balachander's 'Azhagan' after which she played the lead in several critically acclaimed and blockbuster hit movies 'Roja', 'Gentleman', 'Senthamizh Selvan' and 'Mr.Romoe'. She later moved to Bollywood and has done close to fifty films.

Madhoo married businessman Anand Shah in 1999 and the couple have two daughters Keia and Ameya. The actress shared pics of the pretty girls and captioned it "My girls my heart love'. On the movies front Madhoo is reuniting with her 'Roja' costar Arvind Swamy in the Jayalalitha biopic 'Thalaivi' in which he is playing MGR and she his first wife V.N. Janaki. The film directed by Vijay with music by G.V. Prakash Kumar has Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalitha.
