Actress Laya, who acted in movies like 'Thommanum Makkalum', 'Udayon', 'Rastram' etc met with an accident on her way to Los Angeles. She was rushed to the hospital and doctors have declared her condition to be stable. The accident happened to the car she was travelling in.

Laya had got married in 2006 to Dr. Ganesh Gorthi and is settled in the US now. She had quit acting soon after her marriage. She has two children too.
