Khushbu who started her acting career as a child artist in Bollywood films made her debut in Tamil in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Dharmathin Thalaivan'. She played the love interest of Ilayathilagam Prabhu in that film and they instantly became the hottest pair in Kollywood. The duo went on to star in several hit films such as 'Vettri Vizha', 'My Dear Marthandan', 'Kizhakku Karai', 'Pandithurai', 'Naalaya Seidhi', 'Dharmaseelan' and many others.

However the biggest hit film in both Prabhu and Khusbhu's career is 'Chinna Thambi' directed by P. Vasu and produced by K.B. Films Balu that released in the year 1991. Now even thirty years of its release the film and its songs tuned by Ilayaraja are still celebrated by fans.

Meanwhile both Khushbu and Prabhu have used the coronavirus lockdown time to slim down drastically and are looking a couple of decades younger in their latest photos. A fan posted both their slimmed down photos and wrote that director P. Vasu before moving on to his next movie 'Chandramukhi 2' should make 'Chinna Thambi 2' with the veteran stars.

Khushbu has reacted positively by replying to the user with thank you and thumbs up emojis to suggest that she is game for the 'Chinna Thambi' sequel. The actress-politician is currently acting in an important role in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.

Prabhu is playing important characters in Mani Ratnam's epic multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Vishal 32' that has Vishal and Sunainaa in the lead roles.
